Kairosoft takes on the Baratie
ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet is scheduled for October 22 and turns the series into a restaurant-management game developed by Kairosoft. The setup places the player alongside the Straw Hat Crew at a second Baratie location, with the goal of growing it into a major floating restaurant.
That means the license is being used for a management loop rather than simply as decoration around combat. Players collect ingredients, work with Sanji on recipes, build meal sets and decorate the restaurant.
What is packed into the management loop
- Ingredient gathering and recipe discovery.
- More than 200 furniture, building and decorative items.
- Over 400 ONE PIECE characters appearing as staff or customers.
- Character events tied to who visits and how the restaurant is designed.
The combination of a recognizable franchise and Kairosoft’s compact management style could make this a gateway sim for players who would not normally seek out restaurant-management games.
