Best Simulator Games I've Played

This is not a list of the objectively best simulator games ever made. It is my own shortlist from games I have actually played on ItsZebraTV, ordered around my Cyber Stripe ratings and the games I would most readily point another simulator fan toward.

How this list works: I only include games I have personally played. Cyber Stripe ratings are my own score system, and the links below connect each recommendation to the review, game hub, guide and video where available. See how Cyber Stripe works.

Gacha Capsule Shop Simulator

5/5 · S-TIER
SCORE▰▰▰▰▰
CHAOS LEVEL▰▰▰▰▰
ADDICTION LEVEL▰▰▰▰▰

This is one of the rare simulator games I gave a perfect 5/5 across score, chaos and addiction. The cute capsule-shop setup keeps expanding until the store becomes a full management spiral and I am also stealing my own inventory.

Why you might enjoy it: Great if you like shop progression, collecting and a management loop that keeps getting stranger.

Ultimate Theater Simulator

5/5 · S-TIER
SCORE▰▰▰▰▰
CHAOS LEVEL▰▰▰▰▰
ADDICTION LEVEL▰▰▰▰▰

A perfect 5/5 across all three simulator stripes for me. The theater starts simple, then customer flow, concessions, cleaning and random trouble turn the whole building into organized chaos.

Why you might enjoy it: Great if you want a business sim where expansion creates new systems instead of just a bigger number.

Waterpark Simulator

5/5 · S-TIER
SCORE▰▰▰▰▰
CHAOS LEVEL▰▰▰▰▰
ADDICTION LEVEL▰▰▰▰▰

Another 5/5 across score, chaos and addiction. The fun of building attractions is constantly colliding with the reality that somebody still has to keep the park running.

Why you might enjoy it: Great if you want big visual progression, constant chores and chaos that grows with the park.

TCG Card Shop Simulator

5/5 · S-TIER
SCORE▰▰▰▰▰
CHAOS LEVEL▰▰▰▰▰
ADDICTION LEVEL▰▰▰▰▰

I gave this a perfect 5/5 across the board. The shop loop is strong on its own, but tables, staff, pack opening, singles and collecting keep giving me reasons to push the store in a completely different direction.

Why you might enjoy it: Great if you like retail management mixed with collecting and self-inflicted pack-opening problems.

Retro Rewind

5/5 · S-TIER
SCORE▰▰▰▰▰
CHAOS LEVEL▰▰▰▰▱
ADDICTION LEVEL▰▰▰▰▰

A 5/5 overall with 5/5 addiction. Running a 90s video store hits the nostalgia button, but returns, shelves, customers and staff keep it from becoming a passive decorating game.

Why you might enjoy it: Great if you want a shop sim with strong retro personality and a satisfying day-to-day loop.

Bookshop Simulator

5/5 · S-TIER
SCORE▰▰▰▰▰
CHAOS LEVEL▰▰▰▱▱
ADDICTION LEVEL▰▰▰▰▰

A 5/5 overall and 5/5 addiction rating from me, with a calmer 3/5 chaos level. Managers, multiple locations and the café give the relaxing bookstore idea more depth than it first appears to have.

Why you might enjoy it: Great if you want a cozier business sim that still grows into a real management problem.

Cyber Stripe pick

Palworld

5/5 · S-TIER
SCORE▰▰▰▰▰
CHAOS LEVEL▰▰▰▰▰
ADDICTION LEVEL▰▰▰▰▰

I rated Palworld 5/5 for score, chaos and addiction. It sits outside the pure shop-sim lane, but it absolutely belongs among the simulator-style games that kept me playing.

Why you might enjoy it: Great if you want progression and chaos without being tied to a storefront.

Prison Escape Simulator: Dig Out

5/5 · S-TIER
SCORE▰▰▰▰▰
CHAOS LEVEL▰▰▰▰▰
ADDICTION LEVEL▰▰▰▰▱

A 5/5 overall and 5/5 chaos rating. This is one of the stronger picks in my archive when I want simulator structure to turn into a ridiculous story.

Why you might enjoy it: Great if your favorite simulator videos are the ones where the premise is already a bad idea.

Supermarket Simulator

4/5 · A-TIER
SCORE▰▰▰▰▱
CHAOS LEVEL▰▰▰▰▱
ADDICTION LEVEL▰▰▰▰▱

One of the cleanest shop-management loops I have played: buy, stock, price, sell, reinvest. I rated it 4/5 across score, chaos and addiction.

Why you might enjoy it: Great if you want a straightforward retail loop with plenty of room to optimize.

10

Cyber Stripe pick

Alien Market Simulator

4/5 · A-TIER
SCORE▰▰▰▰▱
CHAOS LEVEL▰▰▰▰▱
ADDICTION LEVEL▰▰▰▰▱

I rated it 4/5 across all three simulator stripes. The space market keeps adding fuel, food, bathrooms, staff and other systems until the station feels like several businesses welded together.

Why you might enjoy it: Great if you like expanding from one small shop into a messy multi-system operation.

Cyber Stripe pick

Sunset Motel

4/5 · A-TIER
SCORE▰▰▰▰▱
CHAOS LEVEL▰▰▰▰▰
ADDICTION LEVEL▰▰▰▰▱

A 4/5 overall with 5/5 chaos. It feels cozy for about five minutes, then the chores multiply until the whole property wants something from you.

Why you might enjoy it: Great if you like property management where expansion means more things that can go wrong.

Cyber Stripe pick

Windrose

4/5 · A-TIER
SCORE▰▰▰▰▱
CHAOS LEVEL▰▰▰▰▰
ADDICTION LEVEL▰▰▰▰▱

I rated Windrose 4/5 overall, 5/5 chaos and 4/5 addiction. That score profile is exactly why it fits my simulator recommendations: the chaos is doing a lot of the work.

Why you might enjoy it: Great if you want a simulator pick from the archive that leans hard into unpredictability.
