Happy’s Humble Burger Farm Guide: Orders, Infractions and Surviving the Night Shift
Happy’s Humble Burger Farm starts like a fast food job simulator and slowly remembers that it is supposed to be a horror game. When I played it, I spent a lot of time trying to keep dinner from burning while a demonic cow made the employee handbook feel increasingly unimportant. The easiest way through the early game is to get good at the boring job before the game starts breaking the rules.
Learn one clean order routine
The restaurant side gets easier once you stop improvising every order. Read the ticket, grab what you need, cook it, assemble it and finish the order before mentally moving on to the next disaster.
Trying to juggle too many half finished meals is how the counter turns into a crime scene made entirely of buns and uncooked meat.
Infractions are the part you really do not want
Wrong or late orders can give you infractions, and three infractions are enough to make Happy very interested in your performance review. That is not a meeting you want.
If you are getting overwhelmed, slow down and finish orders correctly instead of rushing everything. A slightly slower shift is better than creating a giant angry mascot problem for yourself.
Reset the kitchen whenever you get breathing room
Use quiet moments to restock, clean up the work area and put ingredients back where you expect them. The job gets much harder when the next order arrives and you are still looking for the thing you misplaced two orders ago.
A boring organized kitchen is beautiful. You will appreciate it the second the horror part decides to interrupt dinner service.
Buy upgrades that remove annoying work
As upgrades become available, I would favor anything that makes the normal restaurant loop faster or easier to manage. Saving a few seconds on a task does not sound exciting until you are doing that task over and over while something horrible is happening in the background.
Remember that this is still a horror game
The job simulator routine is only part of the game. Pay attention when the environment changes, explore when the story pushes you outside the normal shift and do not assume every weird event is just decoration.
Happy would probably prefer that you simply clock in, stop asking questions and make burgers forever. That feels like a good reason to do the opposite.
